Orange team gave a Millionaire TV show presentation, which got the same idea as our red team. They provided us a great foundation info for us. Barry asked us what job are we talking after graduation. I can't imagine so many people selected the government. Actually, there are wide range of job opportunity a head of us.

11 Feb 2021 / Session 4 / Where do you work?

Ringo (EarthAsia) explained design process and the project flow running from beginning C.D. design workshop to SD to DD. He also used Hongma Sports Park, Panjin (2015) to demonstrate what the company engaged in.

Server document linkage and management are important in office. This reminds me those x-ref in AutoCAD. Plus, this method prevents data robbery from staffs.

Not all of MLA student target to setup a landscape office. But the presentation inspires us, can we take the risk. There are different aspirations within S, M, L firms. Purple team interviewed bosses, explaining through business, decision making, administration works. A boss main concern will be risk control, balance sheet assets and liability, cash flow.

TPTR, EIA, HIA are complicate in Hong Kong. Those remind me for thesis project research. Due to complexity land administration in Hong Kong, there is no single department can fully control scope of heritage protection. Besides, when we jump into actual design work, a lot of paper works have to pass through to government.

Our Red Team presentation time - As our millionaire TV show idea was crashed with first team. We prepare a less dramatic and focus on explanation of consultant selection. In my role, I try to explain different method of payments. Lump sum fees are used in 90% of commissions because it is a good balance between interests of both client and consultant.

Urbis presentation SENT (NE New territories landfill and extension area)

Planting is not easy, low maintenance, prevent complex design form.

Urbis team demonstrated the Environment Impact Assessment procedures. It provided a vision for actual work during the project. They pointed out the loophole within EIA, while the private consultant firm is hired by government that may create a unfair moment.

Zoom site tour in SENT

The team carried out monitoring skill on site works. This session is more on ground, explaining what actually work should be done in restoration phase. A detail time schedule was showcased to us.

The main problem through our team is not enough communication. We hardly draw decision in presentation method. Lacking any better idea, then keep in Millionaire.
