Come across a sitting out area when doing site visit, notice that it is belong to private developer while require to open to the public. The law behind is the town planning ordinance that provide CDA zoning that allow the government to required private developer to provide open space under land lease condition.

Further exploring the open space structure in Hong Kong after the site visit. So according to the classification by hk government, there is public open space and private open space, and under public open space, there is public open space in private development, the space visit yesterday. While country park, greenbelt, leftover space or street and circulation is not considered as open space in Hong kong

Interesting office visit to Urbis, further chatting with my friend who is working in the company to know further detail on company structure and work. Know more about landscape submission, including LMP and LP. LMP applied to more sensitive location and / requiring comprehensive planning like CDA zoning. LP is a simplified submission that with less visual impact. LMP need to prepared by RLA while LP can be made by a RLA or the applicant/ his representative. She also mentioned the time taken for the government to reply or approve those submission is crucial to considered in the overall project planning.

Come across friend working in Earth Asia and talking about the required documents to study for RLA. The list is super long and it raise my attention on starting the preparation as soon as possible in the spread of the two-year working experience.

The document suggested reference list for the HKILA Professional Practise Examination is being shared by my friend and I should be careful about the year of the publication as it may changes from year to year. The list includes a series of government selection board handbook and general specification. It also includes ordinance, guidelines, practise notes and other HKSAR Government documents. Should try to find the list of documents that require to study in advanced and try to share and exchange among another designer that are preparing the exam.
